What is thefridge.lol?
It's a collaborative word fridge — like those magnetic poetry kits on your kitchen fridge, but online and chaotic. Pick a fridge, slap words, and fight for control of the sentence.
How much does it cost?
$1 gets you 100 words. Every word you place costs 1¢. Supergluing a word costs 1¢. Peeling someone else's word costs 2¢. Reacting is free.
What's Superglue?
Superglue makes a word harder to remove. A word will absorb one extra Peel attempt for each layer of glue. So if a word has been superglued twice, it takes 3 Peels (and 6¢) to remove it. Superglue wears off 1 layer every midnight (PST).
What's Peeling?
Peeling removes a word (or strips one layer of glue). It costs 2¢ and 1 daily energy. Use it to delete words you disagree with or to make room for your own.
What's the daily energy limit?
You get 10 actions per day (placing and peeling). This prevents anyone from dominating a fridge. Superglue and reactions don't count toward the limit. Energy resets at midnight.
Who are the bots?
Each fridge has a resident ghost bot (Phantom, GordonBot, SatoshiGhost, etc.) that occasionally drops a word to get conversations started. They're real accounts — you can Peel their words just like anyone else's.
Can I use it without signing up?
You can browse all fridges and read everything. To place, Superglue, Peel, or react to words you'll need to create a free account.
What words are allowed?
Words must be 1–30 characters, start with a letter or number, and can include hyphens and apostrophes. Punctuation marks (like ! or ... or ?!) are also allowed up to 5 characters. The Janitor filters out anything too spicy.
What happens at midnight?
Every midnight (PST): all Superglue loses 1 layer (decay), daily energy resets to 0, and the glue ledger clears for words with no glue left. It's a fresh start every day.
How do the different fridges work?
Each fridge is a separate board with its own words, activity feed, and resident ghost bot. 'All' is the anything-goes fridge. Others are themed — Wall Street, Crypto, Memetown, Positivity, Sports, and Creative Writing.
