1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using thefridge.lol ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
thefridge.lol is a collaborative word-placement game where users place, protect, and remove words on shared digital fridges. The Service includes free and paid features.
3. User Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
4. Payments & Pennies
The Service uses a virtual currency called "pennies." Pennies are purchased with real money via Stripe ($1 = 100 pennies). All purchases are final and non-refundable. Pennies have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real currency. We reserve the right to modify penny pricing or balances at any time.
5. User Content
You are solely responsible for the words you place on the fridge. You agree not to post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or that violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.
6. Content Moderation
We use automated moderation (including AI-based filtering) to detect and block prohibited content. We also reserve the right to manually moderate content at our sole discretion. Attempting to circumvent moderation may result in account termination.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, its design, code, and branding are owned by us. Words placed on fridges become part of the collaborative experience and may be viewed, modified, or removed by other users as part of normal gameplay.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of pennies, or service interruptions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any remaining pennies are forfeited.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
